Leithold is DEAD!

I guess the title for this blog says it all.
I got a kick finding out about his death from my former classmate's ym offline message.
This guy, the famous (or should i say infamous?) author of The Calculus 7 (TC7), died last April 29. He was 80. More on him here:
Anyway, I got a kick because I ultimately hated his book--it was the BIBLEof the ANMATH series, which I ultimately flunked for, i think 3 times! It really made college life a LIVING HELL, especially for us Compsci students.I think the only time I enjoyed this book was when I really loved my teacher- Ms. Ruivivar, who taught so well and made me believe I could get the volumes of irregular solids.ANYWAY, binaon ko na sa limot yon. haha!

I am miss procrastination.

Last night I was inspired to do more today but everytime I hit my seat,I just can't help but check out yahoo mail, check out friendster,and read someblogs. And I think something to contribute to this 'tude of mine's the weather!It's really starting to piss me off. It's been raining since Sunday and it's no good.We're stuck indoors with nothing to do, plus it takes DAYS for the laundry to dry up!It's like I always find reason to get bored. I know I need to FOCUS but how?

Anyway, I'm so happy with Mcdo's promo. They're celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mcdo here.Buy 1 Take 1 McChicken! I had 1 for dinner and the other one I'm planning to have for lunch. Is that icky? Am I gonna get foodpoisoning c/o salmonella ? We'll see. And the jologs that I am, I don't even have any microwavable food container so I just stick anything inside the microwave right away.Haha! But at least I wipe the glass clean after.

Anyway last Friday, I told myself I had to go out or else I'd lose my sanity.We headed over The Fong, made friends with the pinoy DJ, got ourselves some free booze, and got hit on by some weirdo freak. Man, i really wish I took his picture! I've never ousted a stranger before but this one really really hit a nerve! Went home really missing John. At around 3am-ish in front of the infamous HSBC building,by the bus stop, arm around the post, ear on my celfone,I woke him up,depsite the fact that this is a no-no (he's super insomniac), I called to cry my eyes out to tell him I super dooper miss him! Couldn't stand PDA couples (no offense sa mga tatamaan diyan!), every where I look, someone's hugging, cuddling, kissing, holding hands, heck MAKING OUT!grrrr! Patience is a virtue.
9 More days. 9 More days! This is going to be our biggest (andmost expensive I must add) adventure to date. John and I never really get to go out of the city as he's always tied down to his books or whatever other epal committments he has. So this is really big, as we both really really miss each other like crazy! I'm really looking forward to this ME TIME! TIME ALONE! I don't enjoy talking to strangers and really need someone to cozy up to real bad.

I'm posting!!! From my flat!!! How is that possible? haha thanks to honey! She "innocently" asked KB (one of the seniors in our company) how he gets to access the internet from here and I overheard him giggling-- thru an unsecure WiFi connection here in the neighborhood.

Aaah. the joys of new technology, so many loopholes. I just hope I get to post this blog and not get disconnected.

It's already 10:45 p.m. and I still have a couple of phone calls to make. Can't quite get to that task yet since someone's hogging the t.v. Adjustments, adjustments. I feel like I've been adjusting my whole life. Is this how the real world's supposed to be?

Scary fact--things are beginning to become routinely boring around here. It's wake up, work,go home, work, sleep, wake up, work, you get the picture. It's so nakakatamad to think of what to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I kinda regret all those bad dinner and lunches (alternate adobong baboy, adobong manok, fried chicken, tinola,fried fish everyday!!!)where all I have to do is eat the food coz I have no choice. Brocolli's so abundant here, brocolli overload na kami! And at this building called the World Wide House there's this floor there with Filipino shops that sell food, but we noticed the same din yung putahe (tama ba spelling!? ;p ) . Nasasawa na ko sa Mcdo, Fairwood or Cafe de Coral >_< ! Madami sanang mga karenderya-like places here to eat but the thing is, their menu's all in Chinese. Man, and this has to go on for 2 more months!!!

Kahit nga shopping nakakatamad na eh... *GASP!* JOKE! NEVERRRR!!! Nakakatamad mag WINDOW SHOPPING. Hindi lang nakakatamad, NAKAKAFRUSTRATE!

Bad trip pa coz I bought a local SIM so that I can keep in touch with people here, para di naman masyadong mahal bill ko sa globe pagbalik ko diyan (I've learned na my lesson!)...when I turned on my fone, SIM CARD REJECTED! Forgot my phone's locked to Globe. Bulok! Have no choice but to have it unlocked here. Or my little angel will bring me a spare fone to use (hehe!)

What to do, what to do. I hope plans for tomorrow night'll push through. I need some R&R!!!

temporary amnesia

how i wish i could have such at this time. pretend that nothing has been going wrong these past few days...hoy mga tangina kayo magpasweldo nga kayo! grrr! i really feel like such a squatter here. pero ok lang, we compensate for feeling low by making the most out of our day...we find humour in our surroundings...parang ngayon, tawa kami ng tawa ni honey kasi meron gumagawa ng barney-ish sounds dito sa paligid ng cubicle namin. bwahahahahahhaha! laugh trip! as in. buti sana kung yung katapat ko yung gumagawa nung sounds na yun nasa hitsura naman niya eh, but noooo! ultimate turn-off! sorry honey, di ko talaga mapigilan.
