coming home.

In 12 hours and 40 mins, my airplane will be touching down the NAIA airstrip.
I'll finally be back home. That is, if the flight does not get delayed. But as Cebu Pacific's slogan goes--on time 99% of the time (tama ba?). patayin na lang yung 1% na magpapadelay.

Can't help but think of Michael Bubble's song, Home (?) as my theme song right now.
We had our last sales meeting yesterday and my boss asked what we learned... and while I was telling him my point-of-view, I found myself a lil way close to tears,I was trying to control my voice as it was getting shaky...

KADIRE! Never kong naisip na masesenti-hits ako bigla! I was walking along Queen's Road the other night and it HIT me---I'm gonna miss this damn place! I'm gonna miss shopping, and my beautiful office building, and my dear beloved cubicle, table peppered with post-its.

I will miss the convenience of having the engineers at my disposal. Wait lang, I didn't mean it THAT way.
It's so much easier to work when people you need answers from are just around the corner. I will also miss the commute here... hopping on 1 bus and feeling safe that nobody will stick a knife or gun (heaven forbid) at you to rob you of your money. (WHAT MONEY!!!)

I dread going back because I don't want to face the responsibility of paying my bills! (Hello Globe, Citibank and BPI! fotah) I will never go shopping again in Manila this year. I think!

BUT, yes, I really want to go home! I miss my family and friends so much. I am excited to pinch Hope's butt and nose, to see my fat dog Dylan and meet the new Dobergirl, Gretta. And I want to see if I still know how to drive! haha!

What an experience this has been. Longest time away from home, all by myself in this cultural kaleidoscope that is, Hong Kong. Lived it, Loved it.
