A Sorta Fairytale

call me a late bloomer or something but I just found out the lyrics to Tori Amos' A Sorta Fairytale song. You know how some artists are kinda bulol when they sing? I really liked the tune and told myself I'd search for the lyrics on the net. SHIT. It's so saaad pala =( !!!

I could totally relate. Hay nako. for those of you still clueless, go figure.
I like how artists like Sarah Mchlachlan and Tori Amos write songs with catchy tunes. I've been listening to Sarah Mclachlan eversince her Fumbling Towards Ecstasy album came out (that was me, circa Grade 6). I hated it though when Building a Mystery and Angel, and Adia (and more songs of hers like Ice Cream to extent) became Mainstream.
That was when she came back actively to the music scene (me, circa 3rd year Highschool, I think!).

I love the lyrics to their songs. I'd rather listen to them anytime rather than listen to angsty (teenage angsty, that is) Avril Lavigne! Sorry but when I'm down and depressed I get really sappy, sometimes get filled up with rage but not like miss skaterrrboi. No offense to those who love and adore her.

I am bored and bothered, scared yet excited about what the future brings.
Have you ever felt whole and broken at the same time? The feeling is mutual.

Last week was just a bad week I guess. We lost to FEU. I guess that was our "karma".
Plus I also had an "epiphany". Just because things aren't THE SAME anymore doesn't give you an excuse to treat people certain ways.

ENOUGH.

Some tidbits about the current fave song playing on my shuffle this time:
"[Scarlet's] in love at that point," she explained,
"and [the couple is] taking that classic trip up [Highway] 101 and [Highway] 1
on their way to San Francisco, and they cut off because they are having the trip of their life, and they go out West to the Southwest. And that's where the masks come down for them. Who they thought each other was is not who they really are.
It's one of those things where it's not about not having enough love for each other,
it's just that you don't know why you can't make it work.
You don't know how you are losing each other and you're sitting right in front of each other in plain view, but you can't seem to make it work. And that's why it's a 'sort of' fairy tale, because she wasn't a princess."

I thought for some time, I was a princess too.
